This is Part Two of a three-part series of writing prompts inspired by Susan Bono’s Jumpstart Writing Workshop. Part One: Something Missing . . . Prompt #223
Susan talked about creating tension when the reader knows something that the narrator/character doesn’t know.
Prompt: Create or recreate a scene where the narrator/character doesn’t know what’s going on.

Sometimes I think that’s my life . . . I often don’t know what’s going on.
Sometimes my life is like the movie, Sliding Doors, where I’m on two different trains, simultaneously. So when I do or say something that my children don’t understand – or they say or do something I don’t understand – it’s a sliding door thing – an altered universe thing. “That must have happened on the other train.”
Something that everyone else seems to know, but I don’t – syncing cell phone calendar with computer calendar.
I spent an hour the other day trying to sync calendars, using three different sources of instructions – Siri’s recommended website, Google help website and a guidebook, “iPhone for Seniors.”
I ended up downloading IphoneInfo, which took a really long time and I don’t even know how to find it on my phone and I somehow changed access to email on my phone (which I was able to undo). So after signing in to Google, going to ITunes, getting to the Apple Store, finding Google app calendar on my computer and going to Google apps. . . my two calendars still don’t sync.
Everyone else seems to know how to do this. I feel like a dinosaur.
