You can turn your story over (and over) and find new perspectives on past events and emotions.\u201d \u2014Sam Keen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about some stories you have told over and over again. It could be a little thing or a big thing. It could be something that happened a long time ago, or recently. It can be repetitive thoughts you have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose one story or one repetitive thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In your mind, \u201csee\u201d that story you have been telling and re-telling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pause, while you choose a story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See this scene as if you are looking at a wide screen. You can see everything in this scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who is in this scene?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you hot or cold or can\u2019t feel a thing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is the dominant emotion?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where do you feel this emotion&nbsp; in your body?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a deep breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What do you smell?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scan the entire scene, from left to right, top to bottom<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, drill down, zero in on one aspect of this scene.
