It\u2019s sort of like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.madlibs.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.madlibs.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mad Libs<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than one way to skin a cat becomes: More than one way to [verb] a [noun].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ready? There are no wrong answers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>It\u2019s [verb ending in \u201cing\u201d] [noun] and [noun]<\/li><li>You can\u2019t [verb] a [noun] by its [noun]<\/li><li>The [noun] [verb] always [adjective or noun] on the other [noun]<\/li><li>[Verb] your [noun] right<\/li><li>It\u2019s an uphill [noun]<\/li><li>[Verb] between the [plural noun]<\/li><li>A [noun] is only as [verb] as its weakest [noun]<\/li><li>A [noun] and his [noun] are soon [verb, past tense]<\/li><li>A [noun] of a different [noun]<\/li><li>\u00a0A [noun] of a [number] [verb] begins with the first [verb]<\/li><li><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p> Whatever responses you came up are fine. Can you use any of your re-imagined cliches in your writing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clich\u00e9s used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>It\u2019s raining cats and dogs<\/li><li>You can\u2019t judge a book by its cover<\/li><li>The grass is always greener on the other side<\/li><li>Play your cards right<\/li><li>It\u2019s an uphill battle<\/li><li>Read between the lines<\/li><li>A chain is only as strong as its weakest link<\/li><li>A fool and his money are soon parted<\/li><li>a horse of a different color<\/li><li>A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step<\/li><li><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Definition of clich\u00e9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/prowritingaid.com\/cliche\" target=\"_blank\">clich\u00e9<\/a>&nbsp;is a tired, stale phrase or idiom that, because of overuse, has lost its impact. What was once a fresh way of looking at something has become a weak prop for writing that feels unimaginative and dull.
