Its movements were accompanied by a raucous laugh that sometimes frightened small children and annoyed adults.&#8221;\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Laffing_Sal\" target=\"_blank\">Wikipedia<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One version of Laffing Sal currently resides at <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Playland-Not-At-The-Beach\" target=\"_blank\">Playland-Not-At-The-Beach<\/a>, which I had the &#8220;pleasure&#8221; of seeing and hearing recently at a friend&#8217;s birthday party.<\/p>\n<p>She definitely scared me as a child.
