Nonfiction manuscripts are read year-round.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Fiction & poetry manuscripts are read from August 1 to April 30.<\/p>\n

Simultaneous submissions are accepted; writers must notify CR immediately\u00a0if the work is accepted elsewhere.<\/p>\n

CR considers only previously unpublished work.<\/p>\n

Colorado Review\u00a0purchases First North American Serial Rights; all rights revert to the author upon publication in\u00a0CR. We pay $10 per page ($30 minimum) for poetry and $200 for short stories and essays. Authors also receive two copies of the issue in which they are published and a one-year subscription to\u00a0CR.<\/p>\n

Colorado Review strongly encourages writers to be familiar with their magazine before submitting.<\/p>\n
