Longer pieces will be read and considered.<br \/>\nNovel excerpts must be self-contained.<br \/>\nPreference is given to short (under two pages), non-rhyming poetry.<br \/>\nThis is not currently a paying market. \u00a0However, all work published in the <em>Apple Valley Review<\/em> during a given calendar year will be considered for the annual <em>Apple Valley Review<\/em> Editor\u2019s Prize. \u00a0From 2006 to 2015, the prize was $100 and a gift of a book of poetry or fiction.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Apple Valley Review is an online literary journal, published twice annually. \u00a0Each issue features a collection of poetry, short fiction, and essays.
